I can’t stress enough how wonderful the food in Israel is. The dairy products are the best I’ve tasted in the world and the cuisine is simply out of this world.
Before getting into too much detail, let me share a dessert I saw in a Japanese restaurant:
Mascarpone creamcheese (Italian) cake with a Middle Eastern twist, it had some middle eastern pastry made of rice on the top…
Lets get into the nitty griddy

Bottles anyone?

Okay, we’ve been researching different bottles, shapes and brands.. so many to choose from!

I think we’ve narrowed it down to Avent and Playtex.

Playtex are cool! they have a grip round shape that helps in feeding and is also supposed to assist in Gas… Can anyone share experiences?

The second brand we looked at was Avent. They have a chamber at the end of the bottle that releases the bubles and is supposed to help in Gas and Colic.

Anyway, if you recommend anything specific please let us know!

We’ve recently changed the types of bottle we were using. The AVENT bottle had a very fast flow for our baby and she just couldn’t handle it, perhaps it was the nipple? the Playtex were cute but even though the shape was supposed to be easier and help reduce gas we found that our baby had gas and discomfort and hiccups after every feeding! We eventually settled on the Dr. Browns bottle and they actually do what they are supposed to! She has less gas, less stomach aches and MUCH less hiccups! any who you can view a presentation right off their website here, so you can see how and why it works. drop us a line and let us know what works for you.

Infant CPR class

We’ve just added an Infant CPR step by step page to try and help anyone out there if they are trying to learn.

God forbit if we would have to ever use it, but safer to know how to do it then just call 911 and sit there helpless.

Peg Perego Pliko P3 Classico stroller $329.99 was

recommended by Barry and Bella

We were looking at

Evenflo EuroTrek Travel System Stroller - Portebello $219.99

eurotrekpinebrook.jpg

I’m sure there are more, but these are the ones that were recommended this far.

Why choose the one or the other?

We went to Babys R Us today and looked at all of the strollers and travel systems.

We compared the two above, one for one, and used the Consumer Reports book 2007 for further comparison.

Here is what we found , we prefer the Evenflow:

  • Canopy closes all the way on both of these, only the Evenflow has air flow holes
  • The Evenflow basket at the bottom drops all the way and is bigger
  •  turn radios is fantastic on both
  • The Peg is lighter
  • You can remove both the feeding tray to clean and the whole tray on the evenflow
  • Even flow handle bars are horizontally adjusted, the Peg only goes up and down on each telescopic handle bar
  • The Evenflow has much more accessories, for example cup holder, napkin hoder and more on the handle bar.
  • Evenflow car seat is also covered by the canopy!
